

Once you see this thing working, the idea of getting an XBox or PS4 just seems absurd. And it works really well - those guys at Valve did an amazing job of turning the the PC into a console-type machine. Since it’s purely designed for playing games and watching movies / Netflix, I’ve barely used the Windows desktop - the machine boots into Steam’s Big Picture mode and that’s all I usually see before I launch an app.

So a couple of months back I stuck an SSD and a new graphics card into my PC, installed Windows 10, got a Steam Controller, and hooked the whole thing up to the living room TV.
